Quentin’s Kidney Transplant Fund
Keep the Dream
Hi, my name is Quentin Butler and I’m a track and field Athlete for Nike. Along with that, I competed in The Next Olympic Hopeful that aired on NBC in which I won the skeleton portion of the show. This is how I found out about having kidney failure, having to take a physical before heading off to camp in Lake Placid, New York.
I’m originally from Corpus Christi, Texas where I attended West Oso High School. I was fortunate enough to earn a track and field scholarship to UT-Arlington, where I went on to earn multiple accolades during my career in school. I became the second fastest sprinter in UTA history with a time of 9.96 in the 100m along with the second fastest time in the 60m in 6.64. Along with these times I became an All-American in outdoors twice, once individual and the other in the 4x1 relay.
I’m looking for support to cover the continuous bills from having to get blood work done, and iron shots since I am severely anemic because of my stage 5 kidney failure. I have donors in line to get tested, but before then I have to get my iron level and blood oxygen levels back to a reasonable area before the committee begins testing. Myself and my family would greatly appreciate anything you can donate to help me get back on my feet and back to loving what i do. Thank you and God bless.
